Our Project, Our House!

This land started out as just a poor ,sad, little gravel pit of a revien. It was pretty much an eye sore (I need to get all the before pics so you can see what we have done with it) and then we bought it and look at what it has become. I call it a work in progress because we have owned it for 4 years and this is what we have done. All the excavating was the biggest part. but the lot is ready and now we are building out shop. There is an apartment, well that is what I call it, but it is bigger than our last house, above the shop, and that is where we will be living and I think that we will like it so much that we might now ever build the house that we have once planned.

These are the pictures of some of the landscaping we have not planted any foilage yet but the grass has been in for about a year and we planted like 10 trees last year as well.

You will notice how steep it is the road is an 18% grade and EVERYONE that has been up talks about how horrible that is going to be in utah winter. Brian is up for the challenge he has the cutest little kabota tractor that he bought from out friends and he is excited to take care of it. I told him if I can't get out in the winter he is not doing his job! hahahaha

This is the shop work in progress being framed.

Our humble humble abode....

Yes this is true! In just a few short words I will just say that our summer has been CRAZY. With moving (not once but Twice with in 2 months) but we are now living in a camp trailor. For as horrible as it sounds it is actually not that bad, and the bonus of it all is that I see the end in sight! We are building our shop and with the shop comes our new home, a 2400 square foot apartment that is obove the enormous garage that my dear sweet husband now thinks is too small! :)

LIFE IN THE CONDO!!! That is what brian decided to call it. See it is actually pretty roomie.

I make the kids a bed on the floor every night because this is rykers real first expierience out side a crib and I dont want him to fall of the hide a bed. So in other words this is less tramatic for me.

We have actually really enjoyed living in the camper "condo" . Way more roomy than I would have ever guessed, Thanks mom and dad! You guys are the BEST!!!

DARE DEVIL

So Ryker is our little dare devil. We have to keep our eye on him every minute because when there is water he is in it, and he loves to jump off everything. We were having a evening at 1st dam here in Logan and Brian was thinking about jumping in the water so the kids could see. The water there is right out of the canyon so it is just freezing but he never got the chance because of course Ryker was right in it. He wanted to jump in all by himself but there was no way that Brian would have been able to stand in the water to his chest for any length of time so he just stood on this rock and kept dunking Ryks. And Ryker loved it. We could not get him out. He cried and cried when we left. but he was freezing and his feet were bright red, so we had to go.

Fishing!!!

Porter had his first fishing trip this last week. Brian asked him if he wanted to fish or if he wanted to catch fish and he said catch fish. So we went to the fish farm in Smithfield. He had the best time, we ended up going two days in a row. He cast his own pole and reeled in the fish all by himself. He told us that he promised that he would hold the fish, but when time came he was so afraid. They're too slippery!

The ever so tempting

So we were in to the story yesteday and of course by we I meant me and the kids. We are at the check out line and up to this point Porter has already asked for everything that the store has to offer. I am aready frazzled because Ryker is having a breakdown, my phone is ringing and I am trying to pay all at the same time not noticing what Porter is doing under the cart. Well we are finally done checking out and I grab the groceries and head out of the store when Porter pops up with a bright blue smile and says mom look what I have got, and with the proudest smile ever shows me the sucker that he has been sucking on, and that we have not paid for. We had to have a very intense talk and I must say how proud of myself I am that I did not totally loose control. We paid for the sucker and left the store in deep discusion. Later he asked is Heavenly Father mad at me mom. I told him that if he knew what he did was wrong and was sorry and will not do it againg that He would not be mad. He tells me he wont do it again but that he was really hungery for that sucker.
